A new online classifieds service called LocalAds.ie has been launched, promising to make it easy to bag a bargain, find a job, adopt a pet, rent a flat, get a date, sell a car, or offer a service wherever you live.
“While there are many classified ad sites focused on particular niches like cars, houses, jobs, relationships or second-hand goods, LocalAds.ie brings all these together in a single site and displays the ones that are local to you,” said site founder Matt Allen.
An internet entrepreneur, Allen’s previous venture Classmates.ie has reunited nearly 100,000 Irish school leavers to date.
Visitors to LocalAds.ie can post ads complete with pictures, web links and videos under any town or village in Ireland with only a few simple steps. They can also promote ads to their social networks on services like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace with just one click – a first for Irish classified websites.
LocalAds.ie enables consumers to see listings in every major classifieds category for their local area, including cars, property, services, pets, jobs, personals, buy or sell, classes and more.
With over 100 sub-categories to choose from, advertisers can effectively target their listings and visitors can find exactly what they are looking for, fast.
Ads cost €3 for 45 days but the fee is waived for those who introduce their friends to the site.
