A conference, entitled Content is King, is focusing on how to build a dedicated audience using digital media on 16 November in the RDS Concert Hall.

Hosted by Mediacontact.ie, on the day various national and international experts will discuss what you need to know about how to grow and develop an online following for your message.

Chaired by journalist, producer and broadcaster Pat O'Mahony, Content is King will include keynote speakers, case studies, movie experiments, a comedian and a live performance from Crystal Swing.

Speaker highlights include:

  • Rick Kelley of Facebook will outline how to build your social media brand around your customers.
  • Sebastien Missoffe of YouTube will discuss the key elements of success in online movies.
  • Will King of King of Shaves will explain how he used social media to build a brand that took on the might of Gillette and Wilkinson Sword.
  • George Hook of Newstalk will talk about how Twitter helps him to reach a whole new audience.
  • Paul Conneally of the International Red Crosswill tell us how to use social media in crisis situations.
  • Crystal Swing will play live and reflect on how one YouTube movie made them an online sensation.
  • Christian Payne aka Documentally will talk about how he has become an online sensation, and how you can too.
  • 5 quickfire case studies will showcase some of the most successful examples of communication online. 
  • The YouTube experiment will premiere a specially-commissioned movie for an Irish charity and we'll be asking the experts 'will it go viral?'.

The aim of the conference is to help you to:
