Serial entrepreneur Doug Richard is hosting a one-day seminar for new and existing businesses in Letterkenny, Co Donegal on 15 October.
Organised by Donegal County Enterprise Board and taking place at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology, the seminar will focus on how to start and grow a successful business, drawing on Richard’s experience both as a businessman and as a successful investor in other businesses.
He hosted a workshop in March, as part of Enterprising Donegal Business Week, which was booked out, and the feedback from the attendees was incredible, according to Ursula Donnelly, assistant CEO of Donegal County Enterprise Board.
The tools for success
“I look forward to an intense day in Letterkenny,” said Richard. “I got to meet some great people in March and I’m expecting even better for the seminar. During the seminar we’ll look at the tools you can use to make your business a success and see how to avoid some common pitfalls, based on my own experience. My message is that you can improve a lot with very little.”
Richard is a successful entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience in the development and leadership of technology and software ventures and is chairman of the UK’s Small Business Task Force.

A champion for start-ups and small business, Doug founded the School for Start Ups in 2008 in order to help people start better, more profitable businesses. Since 2008 he has taught thousands in face to face and online classes across the UK.
