Looking to the future to avail of the upturn when it comes is set to be one of the key themes at the South East Women in Business conference, which takes place in Waterford on Friday 17 September 2010.
Eentitled ‘The Show Must Go On’ and organised by the County and City Enterprise Boards, the conference will hear from a number of inspirational speakers, including entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den investor Sean Gallagher and Louise Grubb, founder of Nutri-Science, which has won several business and innovation awards since its inception in 1999.
MC for the day is Monica Leech, managing director of communications consultancy, Outside Thinking, and former CEO of Waterford Chamber.
The line-up of speakers also includes consultant and author, Veronica Canning and Sheila Gallogly, managing director of marketing communications company, márla.ie.
Following the presentations in the morning and a break for lunch, the South East Female Excellence in Business Awards will be presented by Ciaran Cullen of Waterford City CEB, in the afternoon. These awards were established to acknowledge the role of women in developing enterprise in the south east region.
The event will be held in the Tower Hotel Waterford and there’s a conference fee of €30 per delegate. Registration starts at 8.30am and the event finishes at 3.30;m.
In addition, delegates can attend a culinary demonstration and networking tasting event hosted by Network Waterford and Waterford Harvest Festival at 7.30pm on 16 September.
