Nominations are now being sought for the Emerging Business of the Year Award category in the 2010 ISA Software Industry Awards.
Now in its 32nd year, the ISA Awards recognise the outstanding contribution of software professionals to the Irish economy.
Managing director of Avego, Sean O'Sullivan, who won last year’s Emerging Business of the Year Award, believes that it has strongly benefited his business.
“Ireland has a great reputation as a home for world-class software development. Winning the award has helped our team attract top developers, both from Ireland and abroad, and it has helped validate and raise awareness to new customers that they are going with a winning, innovative company,” he said.
A Digital Hub tenant company, Avego provides software, hardware and professional services for improving the efficiency of passenger transportation. Using GPS, web and mobile technologies, Avego’s real-time information systems make seat capacity known and available to passengers, provide convenient ticket-purchasing options, and enable extensive reporting capabilities.
There will be a gala ceremony on 12 November to present the Emerging Business of the Year Award, along with the other categories in the ISA awards.
Entries can now be made online at www.software.ie/awards.
