MSc in iBusiness aimed at developing future leaders

17.06.2010
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School has launched an MSc in iBusiness due to start in September aimed at developing future leaders of innovation in the Smart Economy.

The programme is aimed at either young graduates who can do the programme full-time in one year, or at managers who will do the programme on a part-time basis over two years.

The new MSc in iBusiness focuses on how information and communication technology (ICT) enables businesses to innovate and compete globally.

It's funded by the HEA’s Graduate Skills Conversion Programme 2010, under the National Development Plan (NDP).  For EU citizens this means that most of the fees are covered.  This funding indicates the importance the Irish Government attaches to the contribution of these programmes to the Smart Economy.

Speaking at the launch, Professor Tom Begley, Dean UCD Smurfit School, said: “As the leading business school in Ireland and in order to compete globally we need to stay in tune with what potential employers want from our graduates. Developing synergies and partnerships with industry is key to this.”
