The first Referrals EXPO 2010 event will take place at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin on Thursday, 10 June at 7am. 


Gahan, who is the principal at chartered accountancy firm Gahan & Co, says his objective is to provide a platform where “business professionals” can help each other’s businesses grow via introductions and referrals.

While some of the attendees are those who are already in business, he says start-up entrepreneurs who want to make connections would also benefit from attending.

At the Referrals EXPO 2010 events, people will be seated at tables of 10. 


Says Gahan: “At each table, each person will speak for two minutes and make a pitch about what they are trying to achieve, etc. After each person has spoken, we will mix up the tables and start this process again.

“It’s an opportunity to meet and engage with people. Hopefully, we’ll be recommending people to arrange one-to-ones, post-event, creating strategic link-ups.”

Even though Gahan just announced details of the event two days ago, word is spreading quickly and 55 people have confirmed their attendance at the initial Referrals EXPO 2010 on 10 June, with another 20 interested in coming along.
