I have a business idea but don't have the time or resources to work on it. How can I sell it to a company I know does?

I am looking at selling beer online, holding the beer in stock and delivering direct to the public, not off the premises. Which licence should I seek and what taxes and excise should I account for.
In general terms the answer to your queries are:
The licence that you should seek is that of an off licence, for the principal reason that the beer is not for consumption on any premises that you hold.
The off licence would permit you to engage in distance sales and an application is necessary through the District Court. Your solicitor will advise you of the necessary criteria.
VAT registration will be necessary should you anticipate annual sales in excess of €75,000.
If you intend to import beer from a fellow EU country you will be deemed a ‘ non registered excise trader’. This means you must account for VAT and Excise on the goods prior to importation.
The necessary form is an excise duty entry form and payment may be made through your local tax office.
To become a ‘registered excise trader’ you need to develop a track record with Revenue over a period of time.
